Laser hair removal works by selectively targeting the melanin (pigment) in the hair follicle. The melanin then absorbs this energy which is converted to heat and damages the stem cells (cells responsible for hair growth) located in the hair follicle. Once this area is damaged, the hair follicle will then inhibit or delay future hair growth without damaging surrounding tissue.

Treatments are spaced 4-6 weeks apart, with most clients initially requiring 10-12 sessions. Future maintenance is then recommended to maintain results.
