Diffused redness can occur as a result of dilated capillaries that are sitting superficially in the skins surface. Talengiectasia (small dilated capillaries) and diffused redness can often occur after prolonged sun damage as well as environmental and lifestyle factors. Laser’s that utilise a Nd:YAG wavelength have been found to effectively treat redness and vessels in as little as 1-3 treatments by selectively heating the blood vessels, causing the vessel walls to collapse. However, they can re- appear and may require maintenance treatments to remove. Vascular treatments can help the appearance of telangiectasias, haemangiomas, cherry angiomas and spider veins on the body.
